SWDF Annual Conference 2026
The theme for the 2026 SWDF Conference was “A Woman’s Journey In Policing”.
DCC Bex Smith formally opened the Conference, held in the Lecture Theatre, Tulliallan, which included keynote speakers; menopause coach Emma McElhinney, Met Police Inspector Jennifer Sharpling and a Growth Mindset session delivered by Mariclaire Day-Johnson.
The day also featured two “in conversation with” sessions featuring Chief Operating Officer Dr Vicki Morton and HR Lead Elizabeth Hossack, and PI Kirsten Marshall with PI Rachel Coates.
Dare To Talk About the Menopause
The menopause is still quite a taboo subject, yet it’s something most women go through.
Coping with it in the workplace can feel lonely and even overwhelming but talking about it can help us feel happier, work better and have improved wellbeing. Men are very welcome too! Understanding what it’s all about can equip you to support the health and wellbeing of colleagues and loved ones. So get a cuppa and join us for an informal, sometimes light hearted session where we will chat about all things menopause.
